Costa Rican Centruroides Sp.

Centruroides sp.

I found this member of the genus Centruroides in Costa Rica, in the wood pile of my hotel room at 8000 feet in the mountains. It can be identified by the spur under the stinger. They are also identified by their long thin pincers, long thin tail, and their habit of holding their tail laying on it's side when at rest.
